Apple needs a wide notch, so its Face ID feature can do its magic, unlike other companies that can make-do with a small cut out. Then there’s Google, who according to recent leaks added a huge notch, seemingly to keep the competition going with Apple. On the other hand, you have a companies like, Oppo, who chooses to work on its design to make the “controversial” notch look aesthetically pleasing.
